In ancient times, dried plants were a symbol of immortality and were handed to victors after battles. They were also used in worshipping gods. Before the outbreak of WWI, dried bouquets could be found in the homes of the richest all across Europe. CANEA makes use of ancient innovations to cater to man's need of preserving flowers for as long a time as possible. It is flowers that fascinate all beings. Other parts of a plant, however, can also be used as an inspiration to new arrangements, such as the dynamic stems of Asta Freola or Galho Estrela, awe-inspiring floral stems, the intriguing leaves of the Magnolia and banana tree as well as the fruit of the palm tree or the Jacaranda. Now, our focus has shifted to natural items, created from such sensual materials as: wood, paper, stones, linen weave or moss. Fern, blossoming cherry and willow branches, bamboo stems, cones, grasses, herbs and bark, especially that of the birch tree, have all been found to be very popular among our customers.
